Original diagnosis/description

Cupulate organ with main axis at least 6.5 cm long and ~ 2 mm wide; lateral axes arranged on main axis in lax spiral, each lateral axis with one to at least three pairs of oppositely arranged cupules born on narrow stalks; individual cupules strongly recurved, unlobed, small, ovoid, up to ~ 2× longer than wide.

Etymology

The specific epithet asiatica refers to the status of this fossil as the first reported occurrence of Umkomasia from Asia.
