Original diagnosis/description

Amenta cycadeacea antherifera, cylindrica, c squamis imbricatis, latere postico antheras sessiles ferentibus efformata.

Emended diagnosis

Deng et al. (2014: J. Syst. Palaeontol., 12(8): 1009):
Microsporangiate strobilus with stout peduncle bearing spirally arranged, coriaceous microsporophylls. Distally, microsporophyll apices incurved and rhomboidal to rounded-rhomboidal in shape, imbricate. Microsporangia borne on distal surface of microsporophylls. Cuticle and pollen unknown.
