Original diagnosis/description

Sepals short lanceolate bearing a large apical multicellular gland. Petals ovate with entire margin. Pollen grains minute to small with perforate, densely pitted tectum. Nectary irregularly lobed. Glandular trichomes distributed on pedicel, hypanthium and basal portions of sepals and petals.

From Sweden where the fossil flowers were collected.
