Original diagnosis/description

Leaves large or at least middle-sized, ovate, mostly entire-margined, seldom with single teeth; base cuneate, apex acuminate;secondaries semicraspe-
dodromous.

Etymology

From the nearby mountain summit Sniežnik (Kralický Sněžník), the name meaning Snow Mountain.
