Original diagnosis/description

Fruits loculicidal drupes. Sepals very short, rounded. Stigma lobed, sits almost directly on the apex of the fruit. Exocarp smooth.


This genus is named after Franz Kirchheimer, recognizing his important contributions to European paleobotany.
