Name is type taxon for
Holotype F21761b, West Bohemian Museum in Pilsen, Plzeň, Czech Republic
Figures: fig. 2A, D
Note: Counterpart of the holotype (F21761a; fig. 2B) is dasignated as isotype by Kraft et al. (2018[online]: Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology, 514: 146).
According to PFNR administrators, the Art. 8.5 and Recommendation 8A.3 of ICN state that counterpart of the holotype is a part of the holotype.
Plants up to 140 mm tall. Five times isotomously dichotomized axes about 1mm wide, with decreasing length of successive dichotomy. The first dichotomy divides the plant into two asymmetrical parts. Terminal sporangia generally ~2.5 mm in diameter, subsphaerical to ellipsod sacciform in shape, placed on the ends of the latest extremely short dichotomies. Sporangia bear round structures 0.75 to ~1 mm in diameter. Other details regarding in situ spores or conducting elements unknown.
Referring to its large size in comparison with most coeval plants.
