Original diagnosis/description

Incubous lateral leaves, each with a subulate lobe at the basal basiscopic margin, resting against the abaxial surface of the lateral leaf, deeply incised underleaves with around five main lobes, often each with accessory lobes.

Etymology

From the Greek πέ ντε (five) and δά κτυλος (finger), referring to the form of the underleaves.
