Original diagnosis/description
Microsporangiate cone borne by Frenelopsis justae Barral et al. (2019). Cone spherical to shortly ovoid (Fig. 8 A). About 40 microsporophylls spirally arranged; each sporophyll with an acuminate apex and a broad base, its margin formed by a frill, both sides of the sporophyll showing indumentum consisting of long unicellular trichomes (Fig. 8C). Abaxial cuticle showing stomata in ill-defined rows (Fig. 8 B, E). Each stoma is surrounded by 4 or 3 subsidiary cells with inner papillae (Fig. 8 E, F)
