Type

Original diagnosis/description

Flowers bisexual, bisymmetrical, epigynous, forming a hypanthium. Four tepals attached on top of hypanthium arranged in two decussate pairs. Androecium consists of four stamens. Gynoecium bicarpellate, with unilocular ovary and two styles. Fruits are nuts with single erect, orthotropous seed. Pollen grains of Normapolles-type.

Etymology

From the Zliv – Řídká Blana locality and from Latin fructus – fruit.
