IOP Circular

The Plant Fossil Name Registry database was mentioned in September IOP Circular 2018-2 and will be linked from IOP website: The registration of new names is still not mandatory but it is requested for testing the data base. Already it is becoming a useful archive of information on published palaeobotanical binomials. There will be a link on IOP webpage to the database. IOP membership will be informed in detail on the PFNR database in the forthcoming October newsletter. Please register and include your new taxon names in the database from now on.

Launching the website

The Plant Fossil Name Registry database is now online. We'll be presenting the website on EPPC 2018 - European Palaeobotany and Palynology Conference in Dublin on August 15, 2018. Come and try it for yourself!
