Original diagnosis/description

Fertile frond segments with deeply incised ultimate pinnules. Each pinnule lobe has one pendant synangium on abaxial surface. In the proximal part of pinnae, synangia appear to be alternately in pairs, as a result of the bifurcation of the lateral veins of the lower pinnules. Synangia consist of connate sporangia in an oval configuration, with a wide central cavity. Sporangia elongate and exannulate, bearing both monolete and trilete, laevigate, scabrate to microspinate spores.
