Original diagnosis/description

As for the genus with the following additions: seeds small, 3.89–6.34 mm long, and 2.92–4.30 mm wide. Attachment scar present approx. 0.8 mm in diameter. Well preserved relatively thick cuticle, epidermis consisting of rectangular longitudinally arranged cells, covering the sclerenchymatic seed envelope.

Etymology

The epithet striata recognizes the striate pattern on the seed coat.
