Original diagnosis/description
This is evidently an imperfect specimen of the organism described by Newberry from the Amboy clays under the name Tricalycites papyraceus. It is a dicotyledone of unknown affinities.
Valid publication of this name is based on figure with analysis (ICN Art. 38.7) by Hollick 1894, pl. 180, fig. 8.
