Original diagnosis/description

Leaves linear, gradually tapering towards acute apex. Leaf blade of various widths, frequently serrate with a continuous transition between different shapes of teeth. Venation well marked. Midrib wide, tapering towards apex, exposed. Lateral veins simple, running to margins. Cells on adaxial side elongate, forming longitudinal rows, on abaxial side irregular. Cell walls thin, straight, occasionally undulate.

In honour of Johanna H.A. van Konijnenburg-van Cittert, Dutch palaeobotanist, in appreciation of her outstanding contribution to European and worldwide palaeobotany
